During their high school days, Liane (vocalist) was seldom seen singing. Brenda (keyboard player) was child-at-heart. Sarah (bass player) was always the quiet one. Shay (drummer) never talked to any one of them because her batch is a year younger. And Hasse (guitar player) was the grade-conscious type of student. But the heart of music in each of them was already planted. Gifts and talents are there. It just took one person to finally act on the desire, and then Corsage was given birth. Believe it or not, not any one of them remembers who that person was. Funny.They were walking in front of a big church in their hometown, in front of them were vendors selling flowers of different kinds. They were deciding on their official band name. Incidentally, Brenda shouted “Corsage!” And they all agreed. Obviously, name-picking was not a hassle. It may seem like there was no depth on the band’s name, but take a look at this. Sage, meaning a “learner,” could be found in it. And they all claim to be learners, people who are wise and are willing to rise up after a fall. Gospel Revolution, a youth oriented battle of Christian bands all over Luzon, was the first competition they joined. “Bring it Back” was their composition which all people loved. They landed 2nd place on this event and then the following days were “student-days” again.While busy at school works, a text message was received which was about a certain Globe activity for the youth. It was dubbed Globe Kantabataan. We passed our application form and our demo CD, then after weeks, we were called up. The song “Bukas” was composed and written by Hasse, and all-together arranged by the whole band. It was
